FIELD: apparatuses for manual electric arc welding by means of piece metallic consumable electrodes, possibly in different branches of machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: electrode holder includes handle, electric current lead with lodgment and spring-loaded clamp with lever protruding over handle. Lodgment has grooves with stopper in their one end. Each stopper includes flap forming variable cross section slot relative to plane of lodgment. On inner surface of flap turned towards lodgment there is groove whose cross section is similar to that of lodgment groove for fixing end of electrode and for limiting length of its secured portion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of electrode mounting, possibility for using weaker spring for clamping and therefore less fatigue degree of welding operator. 4 dwg
