FIELD: microbiological methods. SUBSTANCE: medium contains following components, g per 1 l distilled water: citric acid 4.9-5.0, disodium phosphate 4.9-6.0, sodium chloride 1.9-2.0, magnesium sulfate 4.9-5.0, iron sulfate 0.04-0.05, asparagine 0.9- 1.0, glycin 0.9-1.0, and glycerol 30.0-31.0 ml. Such medium ensures good and intense growth of streptococci from the first incubation day, allows 4-5-fols passage and seeding density 90-100 mln microbial cells in 1 ml of medium, and also allows maximum accumulation of microbial cells (10-12 mlrd cells/ml) to be achieved. EFFECT: increased growth capacity of medium.
