FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: insert 1 of ball joint is made of thermoplastic material with spherical external and internal surfaces. It is truncated at end face. Insert also has through longitudinal slots 5 positioned radially over circumference of truncated end face, central groove 8 and meridional recesses 7 made on internal surface, coinciding in position with longitudinal slots and communicating with central groove. It also includes projections positioned on external surface between slots. Central groove diameter is within (5.5-12)P, where P is longitudinal slot width.
