FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: volume of water continuously fed into gauging tank with specified flow rate is converted with the aid of water meter fitted with pulser to proportional number of electric pulses. Number n of these pulses is counted during period between moments when level of water in gauging tank runs into lower and upper test marks as well as total number N of pulses during period between start and stop of water feeding into gauging tank. Total volume V of water fed into gauging tank between start of stop of its feeding is measured with the help of water measuring tube. Control volume of gauging tank is found by dependence Vk=n/N V. EFFECT: increased precision of measurement of control volume of gauging tank due to account of volume of jet of water fed into it. 1 dwg
