FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetising device for defectoscopy has a magnetic field source, cylindrical magnetic conductor, at the butt-ends of which there are pole terminals and a handle for moving the device. According to the invention, the device has a central axle, made from non-magnetic material. The magnetic field source is in form of an annular permanent magnet with high coercitive force, immovably mounted on common central axle. The cylindrical magnetic conductor is made of two identical parts, tightly in contact with the permanent magnet and integral with the pole terminals, each of which is made in form of a right polygonal prism, with at least five faces and immovably mounted on the common central axle. The handle for moving the device is in form of a swiveling single-arm lever, placed at right angles to the common central axle and includes a fork made from non-magnetic metal and pivotally connected to the common central axle. The fork has an eccentric support member, which can link with the pole terminal for its rotation about its axis.
EFFECT: simpler design, faster operation, increased level of magnetisation and reduced labour input for the magnetisation process.
