FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing 1,2-dichloroethane by oxidative chlorination of ethylene in powdery catalyst fluidized bed. Method comprises feeding into reaction zone hydrogen chloride, ethylene and industrial air or oxygen in controlling temperature of reaction gases, withdrawing the resulting dichloroethane from reaction zone and taking off reaction heat with cooling agent circulating in cooling system, predetermined value of temperature of reaction gases is preset and maintained in reaction zone using, as rate increases or decreases with respect to optimum value of said rate of reaction gases, increased or decreased pressure of reaction gases till optimum valve of said rate of reaction gases is restored followed by restoration of predetermined value of temperature of reaction gases by reducing the pressure of cooling agent in cooling system if value of temperature of reaction gases increases and correspondingly increased pressure at lower values. EFFECT: increased permissible heat load range for existing reactors which makes it possible to increase production capacity of said reactors by 20-30%. 4 dwg
