FIELD: conducting processes at high pressure and high temperatures; synthesis of superhard materials; study of properties of materials under conditions of high pressures and high temperatures. SUBSTANCE: high-pressure chamber is provided with passages running from zone of reaction cell beyond high-pressure chamber; chamber is provided with gas receivers made in form of reservoirs of various shapes located around and/or in reaction cell. Gas receivers are connected with passages and are filled with hard material powders. Passages may be also used for exhaust of gases into atmosphere or gas analyzer. Powders filling the passages and gas receivers are taken from class of hard materials, such as diamond, cube boron nitride, carbines, borides, oxides, nitrides and their mixtures. EFFECT: possibility of obtaining more "pure" product; enhanced accuracy of study of process due to exhaust of gaseous products from reaction cell. 3 cl, 3 dwg
