METHOD FOR MAKING SOLDERED HONEYCOMB MEMBER WITH USE OF LAMINATE-STRUCTURE METALLIC SHEETS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2159692 C2

FIELD: manufacture of members used as catalytic neutralizers of exhaust gases of transport vehicles. SUBSTANCE: metallic sheets have structure with locally arranged ducts for passing fluid. Several sheets are made of laminate material. At least one layer is made of chrome containing steel and at least one layer is made, mainly of aluminium. At soldering process heat treatment is realized for homogenization of said layers at first in vacuum or in reduction atmosphere and then in oxidation atmosphere. Used solder is nickel-base material containing 0.5-0.8 mass% of boron. EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance and mechanical load strength of honeycomb members. 5 cl, 5 dwg
