FIELD: converter engineering; valve-type dc drives. SUBSTANCE: method involves limiting of amplitude and speed variations in supply-mains current of three-phase bridge converter at two-operation valves, regulation of input voltage by unipolar pulsewidth modulation at the same time independently varying active and reactive components of supply-mains current using desired law. In order to maintain constant the RMS value of supply-mains current without limiting motor torque during transients, mentioned reactive component and relationships inversely proportional to rectified load current are varied. Mathematical expressions of control signal at input of pulse- phase control system required for proportional regulation of reactive component are obtained. EFFECT: limited amplitude and rate-of-change of supply-mains current at drive input. 3 cl, 14 dwg
