FIELD: cleaning of gases from hydrogen sulfide, particularly, desulfurization of gases with use of liquid absorbents, applicable in oil and gas producing and processing industries. SUBSTANCE: method consists in oxidation of hydrogen sulfide with solution formed in anode space of electrolyzer as a result of electrolytic decomposition of water.
