FIELD: pressing of dense refractory products. SUBSTANCE: method includes metering and mixing of refractory filler, carbon-containing component and binder. Mixing process covers homogenization of mass to consistency corresponding to maximum mixing energy. Then, mass properties change such as its mobility (characterized by reduced energy consumed in mixing) and increase of bulk density. Process is carried out up to stabilization of mixing energy at minimal level and attaining of mass compression ratio equaling 1.3-2.1 determined by formula given in the invention description.
