FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: machine has main frame 1, carrier-and-feeler wheels 5,6 and working tool for digging, lifting, moving and primary separation of licorice roots. Working tool is formed as U-shaped undercutting knife 8 with front parts provided with cutting edges 9 on detachable blades. Lifters 10 for undercut soil layer and secondary soil separation tool are mounted on working tool part remote from horizontal blade of knife 8. Secondary soil layer separating tool has drive rotor 11 with radial detents 12. Rotor 11 is mounted on auxiliary frame 13 pivotally connected to main frame 1 for displacement between operating and transport position. Soil root layer deformer positioned between lifters 10 and drive rotor 11 has vertical drive rotors 15, 16 rotating in opposite directions. Rotors 15, 16 are mounted on auxiliary frame 13 and connected through drive to main frame 1. Each of rotors 15, 16 is formed as truncated cone. Conical surface of each rotor 15, 16 is provided with multiple-thread auger coil 20. Detents 12 of drive rotor 11 are made barrel-shaped. EFFECT: reduced power and decreased labor consumption. 2 dwg
