FIELD: hydrocarbon pyrolysis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: active component is applied on inert carrier, which is then dried at 20 C for 24 h and calcined at 900 C for 4 h. Inert carrier is plate filler or n-beamed in normal cross-section volume filler of nonfired silica, and active component is aqueous suspension of strontium sulfate, which is applied on the surface of freshly formed dried filler to form uniform layer. Cross-section size of plate or volume filler is less than internal diameter of pipes of pyrolysis furnace coil to leave structural gap 5-10 mm.
