FIELD: destruction chemical processes; applicable in conduction of pyrolysis processes, for instance, in petrochemistry for pyrolysis of low-molecular hydrocarbons to produce ethylene and/or propylene. SUBSTANCE: pyrolysis reactor includes system of parallel pipes connected by return-bend headers and placed into radiant section of tube furnace. In this case, pipes are filled with plate-catalytic or inert plate members. Plate members are formed by two or three mutually intersecting plates from inert ceramic material impregnated with catalytically active component. One of mutually intersecting plates has length in zone of reactive mixture introduction which is larger than other mutually intersecting plates by 50-100% and tail part of long mutually intersecting plate coming out of limiters of other mutually intersecting plates is in shape of Archimedean screw. Made on surfaces of mutually intersecting plates are plates are semiconical flaky lugs with cutting-troughs on diameter of generating circumference directed with their vertexes to side of flow motion. Adjacent semiconical flaky lugs have directed lug curvature. EFFECT: higher degree of conversion of hydrocarbon material and selectivity of pyrolysis process with low hydraulic resistance of pyrolysis reactor. 2 cl, 4 dwg
