FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves training patient to execute diaphragmal breathing by recording heart beat signals and showing them to the patient as feedback signals. Breathing arrhythmia is detected in every breathing cycle using electrocardiogram. Physiological exhalation duration is measured from its onset to the moment when the heart beat rate exceeds the minimum value by 1/5-1/3 of breathing arrhythmia amplitude. Threshold is set to be 1 s shorter than the mean physiological exhalation duration. The patient breathes so that his physiological exhalation duration were not lower than the threshold value in every breathing cycle. Inhale is done at the moment when the heart beat rate exceeds the minimum value by 1/5-1/3 of breathing arrhythmia amplitude. When performing speech training, the text for reading is shown line-by-line at constant rate. The time for showing the whole line is equal to threshold value. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; accelerated treatment course in complicated cases. 3 dwg
