FIELD: medicine, narcology, psychotherapy.
SUBSTANCE: one should carry out training seances by applying biological feedback to elaborate diaphragmatic respiration by patient's heart rate. During a seance one should alternate the periods of training and those of rest. During periods of rest patient should continue to breathe diaphragmatically without feedback signals. Beginning since 2-6 seances, during period of rest one should perform autogenic training with a patient to relax limbs' muscles. During periods of training patient is suggested a target text directed for increased self-confidence and achievement of sobriety. Therapy course consists of 15-25 seances at 20-40 min duration each. The method broadens the number of methods for treating alcoholic addiction.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
