FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: thermonuclear reaction is excited in microparticles of thermonuclear fuel due to any collision. Used as fuel are solid hydrocarbons or their derivatives whose atoms of protium are substituted for by those of deuterium and tritium in equal proportion. Microparticles are charged and accelerated in two accelerators to kinetic energy equal to thermal energy produced in them due to collision of plasma whose temperature equals optimal fusion temperature of 2·108 K. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency in conversion of kinetic energy of accelerated particles into thermonuclear plasma energy.
