FIELD: machine tool manufacture and machining of materials; applicable in supply of lubricant-coolant to zone of grinding and to grounding wheel with axially displaced cutting layer. SUBSTANCE: supply of lubricant-coolant to grinding zone is accomplished by sprinkling from nozzle located at wheel zone in immediate vicinity to zone of cutting. Nozzle is oscillated in synchronism with wheel face. Lubricant-coolant is supplied to oscillating face and oscillating cutting zone under conditions of formation of pulsing wheel face flow due to additional sprinkling at frequency equalling rotation speed of wheel. The claimed method of oscillating supply of lubricant-coolant to grinding zone with axially displaced cutting layer ensures proper orientation of lubricant-coolant flow, extends process potentialities and higher efficiency of working. Intensive cooling of tool due to pulsing pumping promotes increase of protrusion of abrasive grains above binder to increase wear-resistance of grinding wheels. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
