FIELD: machine engineering, possibly cooling grinding wheels with axially shifted grinding layer. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes vessels for cutting fluid having ducts for supplying it and formed by means of two mutually joined discs. Vessels are arranged at each end of wheel and they serve as tapered washers for securing wheel with inclination. Ducts are in the form of radial grooves made on inner surface of sectors mounted in diametrically opposite portions of wheel ends in zones where end surface of wheel is placed near plane normal relative to rotation axis and passing through symmetry center of wheel. Sectors are made of easy-to-destruct material and they embrace central angle no more than 180 degrees. At wheel rotation radial grooves provide transfer of lubricant out of vessels onto axially shifted grinding layer simultaneously in several directions. Outburst of lubricant practically is equal to zero; it reduces consumption of lubricant. Easy-to- destruct grooved sectors provide lubricant feed until final wear of wheel. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced efficiency of grinding, lowered possibility of occurring burnouts and microcracking. 6 dwg
