SUBSTANCE: invention describes novel derivatives of 5-naphthalene-1-yl-1,3-dioxane in the form of pure stereoisomer or the mixture of stereoisomers of the formula (I) where R₁ means hydrogen atom or (C₁-C₄)-alkyl, (C₃-C₆)-cycloalkylmethyl or phenyl-(C₁-C₃)-alkyl group possibly substituted by phenyl ring with one or more atoms or group taken among halogen atoms and methyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy- and cyano-groups; R₂ means hydroxyl or (C₁-C₄)-alkoxy-group or the group of the general formula NR₃R₄ where each of R₃ and R₄ means independently each of other hydrogen atom, linear or possibly branched (C₁-C₄)-alkyl group, (C₃-C₆)-cycloalkylmethyl group, phenyl group, phenylmethyl group or pyridyl group; or, alternatively, R₃ and R₄ in common with nitrogen atom carrying their form pyrrolidine or piperidine ring; n = 1, 2 or 3 in the form of free base or salt obtained by acid addition and different methods of their synthesis also. These compounds show neuroprotective activity and anticonvulsant properties and can be used for preparing drug and pharmaceutical composition.
