FIELD: petrochemical industry. SUBSTANCE: refractory indices of mixtures are measured in two mutually perpendicular directions specified by external magnetic field superimposed on sample of oil product. Content of aromatic components with allowance for coefficients determined by properties of aromatic and paraffin-naphthene fractions of oil product are found by measured difference of refractory indices or by constant of magnetic briefringence of mixture proportional to it.
