PLANT FOR TREATMENT AND DECONTAMINATION OF SEWAGE AND DOMESTIC WASTES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: microbe decontamination at bases of submarines equipped with nuclear power plants whose service life has expired and they require reagentless microbe decontamination. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant includes sewage and waste water receiver with methanol feeder and methane tank from acid, neutral, alkaline and methane fermentation chambers which are equipped with dispersers made in form of rotors and housings engaged through circular passages by projections and recesses. Alkaline fermentation chamber is provided with ammonium hydroxide and ammonium bicarbonate feeder; methane fermentation chamber is communicated with biocultivator which is provided with stand for receiving the object to be decontaminated, for example, nuclear power plant. Stand is mounted on resilient supports and is provided with drive for performing reciprocating motion in decontaminating medium. Biocultivator is provided with sprinkler in its upper portion and with false bottom in lower portion which is communicated with air supercharger. Biocultivator is communicated with centrifugal microfilter is decontaminating medium line and with disperser inlet branch pipe in microorganism - contaminant biomass line; outlet branch pipe is communicated with biocultivator sprinkler; centrifugal microfilter is communicated in microorganism excessive mass line with tape-type press-filter, pyrolysis chamber and solid radioactive waste receiving container.
