RADIAL SLUDGE PAN Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: water-treatment works for purifying wastewater with great content of suspending particles. SUBSTANCE: sludge pan has cylindrical housing, water inlet and outlet system, mud remover, and drive. Mud remover is, essentially, moving truss with scrapers installed for displacing near-bottom mud to mud sump communicating with desilter. Center of truss is built integral with that of housing. Truss is mounted for moving from drive below water level in housing; it is, essentially, ring support joined to central axle of housing through connectors. Some of truss connectors are made in the form of tubes whose holes most distant from center of housing are closed; and those closer to center communicate with desilter through mud sump. Scrapers are made in the form of ejectors connected to internal space of tubes. EFFECT: enlarged trouble free operating time of sludge pan. 8 cl, 1 dwg
