FIELD: water purification works, specifically, biological purification of large amounts of sewage carrying high percentage of suspended particles. SUBSTANCE: radial settling basin includes vertical frame of round section carrying tube to feed water to be purified, circular trough bordering on internal surface of frame and matched with slits connected to system of discharge of purified water, floating board to remove floating particles into hopper, mobile girder linked to scrapers mounted for movement of bottom sludge into sludge pit. Center of mobile girder is matched with center of frame. Girder rests against rollers fixed on frame at one level and moves under action of drive.
