FIELD: water treatment facilities; biological purification of waste water. SUBSTANCE: proposed settler has vertical housing of circular section and pipe for supply of water to be cleaned. Housing has movable truss which is connected with scrapers for setting bottom-dwelling sludge in motion over settler bottom. Center of truss is matched with center of housing. Truss is supported by structural members of settler located inside housing below level of water. Scrapers are sinusoidal in shape. Inlet of sludge discharge unit connected with sludge pump is mounted in zone of each maximum sagging of scraper directed to side opposite to direction of motion of scraper.
