RADIAL SETTLER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: water purification works; biological purification of sewage containing considerable amount of suspended particles. SUBSTANCE: proposed settler has vertical housing of round section, pipe for supply of dirty water and cleaned water discharge system. It also contains movable truss connected with scrapers transferring sludge to sludge pit. Bottom of housing has diametral grooves with perforated tubes on their bottoms; they are communicated with sludge pit. Lower part of each scraper is elastic; it touches bottom of housing; sludge pit is isolated from dirty water. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of removal of sediment from settler. 5 cl, 1 dwg
