FIELD: machining of metals hard-to-grind and disposed for burns. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for grinding, grinding-and-honing, honing and polishing. Device has abrasive wheel with axially-shifted cutting layer obtained due to installation of it at an angle to axis of rotation by means of taper washers and slanting end of flange. Taper washers are provided with nonparallel ends made at an angle α,. They allow continuous variation of wheel slope angle from 0 to 2α. Assembled wheel is secured on flange positioned on spindle for axial reciprocating motion by means of involute-splined joint. Rubber shock absorbers promoting the wheel reciprocating axial oscillations are installed at flange ends. Oscillations are produced by end cam mounted on tail spindle and transmitted through roller which contacts cam and is mounted on one end of spring-loaded pusher installed loosely in guide body fixed on spindle. It is spring-loaded to ensure permanent contact of roller with end cam. Other end of pusher is hinge-connected in flange recess. As a result of device operation, rotary and axial oscillatory motions are superimposed, and it improved quality of machining. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
