FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for working of metals and alloys difficult to work and disposed to burns. The device has a faceplate positioned on spherical neck of spindle. Grinding wheel is secured on the faceplate. The faceplate and spindle neck are conjugated along spherical surface. Wheel is arranged symmetrically with respect to center of neck sphere. Ring with spherical hole coupled to spherical neck of spindle is inserted in the faceplate spherical hole. Cam mechanism of the faceplate angular oscillation is made as lever hinge-connected to the faceplate through intermediate tie-rod with roller mounted on lever. Cam mechanism also includes profiled drum. The latter is mounted on tail spindle for contact with lever roller. When the device is in operation, angular position of wheel changes by value (±α) relative to plane perpendicular to axis of rotation and passing through center of sphere. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 dwg
