FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: root harvesting machine has frame 1, feeler wheels 2,3, share 4, elevator 5, main rotor 6 and rotor drive. Machine is further provided with auxiliary rotor 7 positioned behind main rotor 6. Rotor 6 is made in the form of two- roller beater, with spindles 31,32 of loosely rotating rollers of beater being arranged in parallel and in diametrical plane of shaft axis of main rotor 6. Drive casing of auxiliary rotor 7 has pair of planar disks 51,52 inclined to its spindle and mounted in opposed relation one with respect to the other in mid portion of casing, and pair of shaped disks 53,54 arranged in symmetry on end parts of casing. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, reduced power consumption, decreased material usage, and enhanced reliability in operation. 8 cl, 5 dwg
