FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, methods of measuring distribution of loose materials in technological vessels; applicable in measurement of parameters of distribution of burden materials in blast-furnace top. SUBSTANCE: method includes control over geometric parameters of separate sections of surface of materials and simultaneous control over temperature parameters of the same sections, determination of rate of temperature parameters variation in the course of settling down of charged materials, and determination of parameters of radial distribution of materials by change of geometric parameters of their surfaces with construction of rate of temperature parameters change. EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining distribution of materials on blast-furnace top. 6 dwg
