FIELD: mining and construction industries, particularly, devices and methods for electric discharge breakage of objects, for instance, breakage of rocks and stones into small pieces in mines and at construction sites, trimming of tunnels and breakage of concrete buildings. SUBSTANCE: device is made for supply or discharge of electric energy charged or accumulated in capacitor between two electrodes during short period of time with the aim of instantaneous evaporation of destruction substance for transmission of pressure to break object by action of expansion force developed by the evaporation. The device has design in which end part of shell which covers two metal conductors comprising cable is cut to strip ends of metal conductors, and stripped ends are immersed into destruction substance and used in capacity of electrodes.
