FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: described is new biodegradable polyester containing lactic acid units, glycolic acid units and at least one unit of hydroxypolycarboxylic acid selected from group consisting of tartaric acid, pamic acid, tartaric acid ester and pamic acid ester. Also described is method of preparing thereof (variants). Biodegradable polymers are used as excipients in compositions of continuous excretions for medicinals. Since main medicinals are ionically conjugated with acid polymer, improved acidity of polymer is important for facilitating formation of conjugate. EFFECT: improved properties of biodegradable polyester. 35 cl, 11 tbl
