FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a biodegradable particle for embolisation and method of producing a sterilised biodegradable particle. Biodegradable particle contains a block copolymer, obtained by copolymerisation of biodegradable copolymer, formed from hydroxy carboxylic acids a1 and a2, homopolymers of which have glass transition point of not less than 40 °C not more than -40 °C respectively, water-soluble polymer, including an amino group, hydroxyl or carboxyl group in each of both ends of said water-soluble polymer and polyvalent compound containing dicarboxylic acid, halogen anhydride thereof, acid anhydrides or ester. Method includes a step for copolymerisation of a biodegradable copolymer, water-soluble polymer and polyvalent compound for producing block copolymer, granulating, application of coating and radiation of said biodegradable particle.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables to obtain biodegradable particles for vascular embolisation which are less prone to coagulation, have improved flexibility, shape of which is restored after passing through catheter.
