MULTI-STAGE CATALYTIC CONVERTER OF DIESEL EXHAUST GASES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F01N3/28

Abstract RU 2727283 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: multistage catalytic neutralizer of exhaust gases of diesel engine is intended for use in realization of cleaning of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines with compression ignition. Device comprises casing with outer and inner walls and heat insulation between them, end covers, housing with filtration unit of solid particles, porous permeable cermet catalytic oxidative, redox and redox blocks, transverse partitions with through and blind openings. Blocks are installed in series in pairs into through and blind openings of transverse partition walls to form cartridges. Oxidation-reduction and reduction units are installed in series by a pair. Oxidation unit and the solid particles filtration unit are also installed in series by a pair. Each next baffle is turned relative to longitudinal axis of neutralizer compared to previous baffle by angle equal to angle between axes of through and blind windows. Each unit is placed in through and blind openings of partitions of its cartridge. Transverse partitions of each cassette are connected by fasteners with threaded connection. In casing cavity between end cover and cassette with porous permeable cermet catalytic oxidative unit and solid particles filtration unit there installed is additional transverse partition wall with hollow cone element built in direction of cassettes. On the extension towards the inner cavity of the inlet branch pipe equipped with the exhaust gas swirler, there is a hollow cone-shaped nozzle forming a slotted ejector with a hollow cone element. Nozzles are arranged between additional transverse web and cassette with porous permeable cermet catalytic oxidation unit and solid particles filtration unit and between both cassettes. Cavity of the annular flange installed between the additional crosswise partition and the end cover is connected by concentric holes to the slotted cavity formed between the case and the case.

EFFECT: considerably higher efficiency of exhaust gases cleaning, durability and manufacturability of neutralizer production.
