FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: converter housing accommodates porous penetrable ceramet oxidation-reduction catalytic units, porous penetrable ceramet oxidation and reduction catalytic units, soot filters, inlet and outlet branch pipes with flanges and cross partition. Porous penetrable ceramet oxidation and reduction catalytic units are installed coaxially relative to porous penetrable ceramet oxidation-reduction catalytic units to form ring spaces. Soot filters are installed inside porous penetrable ceramet oxidation and reduction catalytic units axially symmetrical relative to said units to form ring spaces. Cassette replaceable unit made of porous penetrable ceramet is built into inlet branch pipe. Replaceable cassette unit is installed in housing-holder with through hole, and sulfur content indicator is arranged in inlet branch pipe in series with cassette unit. Inner space of cassette replaceable unit is filled with granulated reagent binding sulfur compounds. EFFECT: improved efficiency and quality of cleaning of waste gases by preventing their deactivation by sulfur compound. 3 dwg
