METHOD OF PRODUCING RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2166345 C1

FIELD: alcohol industry. SUBSTANCE: method provides for boiling of alcohol from mash with transition of ethyl alcohol and accompanying impurities into mash distillate, purification of mash distillate from head and intermediate impurities including components of fusel oil in fractionating column with supply of hot water onto its upper tray. Then intermediate product is rectified in alcohol column with separation of fractions of fusel oil, fusel alcohol and nonpasteurized alcohol; fractions of head and intermediate impurities are distilled with separation of fusel oil, head fraction concentrate, concentrate of propyl alcohols and fraction of ethyl alcohol is returned mash. Boiling out of alcohol from mash is carried out in boiling part of beer rectification column and vapors of mash distillate are fortified with alcohol in fortifying part of said column. Mash distillate is additionally rectified by withdrawal of fractions of head impurities from its condenser, fusel oil withdrawn from vapor phase of middle zone trays of boiling part, fusel alcohol from liquid phase of lower zone trays of fortifying part of beer-rectification column. Mash distillate is withdrawn from liquid phase of its upper trays and supplied to tray of feed of methanol column, and methanol-ether aldehyde fraction is separated from methanol column condenser. Rectification column is fed with still liquor. Fractions containing mixture of head and intermediate impurities from condensers of rectification column and separator of carbon dioxide, alcohol traps of dirty distillates, fusel alcohol from alcohol and beer-rectification column are directed to tray of feed of the first distillation column. The latter is heated with vapor from hollow insert above tray of withdrawal of ethyl alcohol fraction from the second distillation column. Fraction of head impurities is supplied from condenser of the first distillation column together with fractions from condensers of beer-rectification, methanol, alcohol column and alcohol trap of pure distillates to upper feed tray of the second distillation column. Still liquor of the first distillation column together with fractions of fusel oil from beer-distillation and alcohol columns and washing waters of fusel oil is directed to lower feed tray of the second distillation column and concentrate of head fraction is withdrawn from condenser of the second distillation column. Withdrawn from lower part of vapor phase of fifth-eleventh trays is fusel oil. Separated from liquid phase of tray above inlet of intermediate impurity fractions is concentrate of propyl alcohol. Fraction of ethyl alcohol is withdrawn from middle zone of the second distillation column and returned to mash. EFFECT: higher quality of rectified alcohol. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 ex
