METHOD OF OBTAINING RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C12P7/06

Abstract RU 2330068 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of alcohol from a brew in a distillation column with movement of ethyl alcohol and attendant impurities to the wash distillate, cleaning of the latter from parent and intermediate impurities in an epuration column using hydro-selection, extraction of alcohol from the epuration column into the chosen column with tapping off of the fusel-oil fraction, concentration of the alcohol in the alcohol column with tapping off of the fusel-alcohol fraction and unpasteurised alcohol, heating of low-pressure columns using alcohol-water vapour from columns at pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. Alcohol distillation processes are carried out at high pressure in distillation and epuration columns and at low pressure in the distillation, alcohol columns and in the column of concentrated methanol. The distillation and epuration columns are heated using a jet steam. The water-alcohol vapour from the upper plate of the distillation column is passed to the boiler of the distillation column, the secondary vapour of which is used to heat the distillation column. The resulting condensate is channelled to the boiler of the alcohol column. The boiler liquid of the alcohol column is heated taken from the boiler of the distillation column and is passed on to the upper plate. In the epuration column, ethyl alcohol undergoes further cleaning from intermediate impurities through collection of a fusel oil fraction from the vapour phase of the plates in the medium zone of its stripped parts and fractions of intermediate impurities from each liquid phase of the plates of the distillation part lower than the collection point of the epurate, as well as from organic acids and other remainder impurities through collection of the loot from the boiler of the epuration column. The epurate is concentrated with ethyl alcohol, taken from the liquid phase of the upper plates of the lower zone of the distillation part of the epuration column and channelled into the boiler of the alcohol column. The concentration part of the epuration column is divided into two zones by a partition wall, equipped with a wall for pouring liquid, but without an opening passage of vapour, which is taken from the vapour space of the upper plate of the lower zone through a lateral connection pipe in the first boiler of the alcohol column, the secondary vapour of which is used to heat this column. The formed condensate is channelled to the upper plate of the lower zone of the concentration part of the epuration column. The non-condensed vapour is put in the vapour space over the partition wall and are used to heat the upper zone of the concentrated part of that column, on the upper plate of which are put, a fraction of fusel alcohol from the alcohol column, a fraction of intermediate impurities from the distillation part of the epuration column and hydro-selection water. On the plates of the upper zone of the concentration part of the epuration column the main and intermediate impurities are concentrated with increased specific flow of hydro-selection water. Vapour from the upper plate of the epuration column is channelled to the second boiler of the alcohol column, the secondary vapour of which is used to heat the alcohol column and the concentrated methanol column. Non-condensed vapour enriched with impurities from the inter-pipe space of the second boiler is put into the condenser of the epuration column, from which the fraction of the main and intermediate impurities are selected and taken away from the alcohol distillation system.

EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining high quality alcohol and lower expenses on its production.
