FIELD: equipment for separation and thickening of grainy materials; applicable in classification of mineral raw materials in mining, chemical, construction and other industries. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic classifier includes a body with branch pipes for admission of initial hydraulic fluid and discharge of product of classification and clarified pulp. Branch pipe for admission of initial hydraulic fluid is located tangentially between upper and lower units of truncated cones arranged concentrically and whose surfaces are perforated and holes are furnished with flexible collars. Diameters of holes and clearances between cones of upper unit are larger than holes and clearance between cones of lower unit. Upper and lower units are installed for antiphase reciprocating vibration by means of vibration device made in the form of rods installed one into another and driven by eccentric shaft with crankpins displaced through 180 deg. EFFECT: higher productivity of hydraulic classifier and improved quality of finished product. 5 dwg
