AIR-COOLING APPARATUS WITH EXTERNAL AIR RECIRCULATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: applicable in chemical, oil, gas and other branches of industry for cooling of products changing their aggregate state at a drop of temperature to a solid phase, or forming solid chemical compounds. SUBSTANCE: the apparatus has a heat exchange section, recirculation channel and a chamber for mixing of warm and cold air located under them. A header with a fan placed in it is installed in the upper part of the mixing chamber under the heat exchange section with a shift towards the side opposite the recirculation channel. Trapezoidal plates are fastened on the walls in the point of communication of the chamber with the recirculation channel, one of the plates is inclined towards the fan, and the other two - towards the recirculation channel. The presence, dimensions and definite angle of inclination of the plates provide for through mixing of heterogeneous air flows. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of product cooling due to maintaining of the temperature of all heat-exchanging walls above the temperature of hydrate formation. 2 dwg
