SUBSTANCE: method that may be used for nucleon and nuclear transformation such as fusion, disintegration, nuclear and nucleon catalysis for transforming chemical elements and their compounds, energy generation, and developing new technologies in energy production, as well as for conducting reaction between chemical elements and their compounds to change their physical and chemical properties involves inserting electric circuit set up of two conductors in insulating medium where breakdown voltage is higher than highest voltage across any circuit conductor. Current through conductors is varied and interrupted in at least one of conductors at the instant of current change. Device implementing this method has electric circuit conductors placed in insulating medium and current interrupter in at least one conductor. Conductors may be made of different chemical elements or their compounds; they may differ in their geometry and cross-sectional area.
