RAIL CROSSING FROG Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; switches and crossings. SUBSTANCE: frog has core, wing rails and chutes in its upper part, and in lower part, vertical walls with recesses for fishplates. Holes for fastening bolts are also provided. Frog is divided over its length. Lower part of frog is multiuse bed frame. Upper part is removable element installed for replacement without removal of entire structure from rail track. Axes of holes for fastening bolts connecting upper and lower parts can coincide with position of axes of track bolts. EFFECT: reduced cost of maintenance, improved conditions of train running. 2 cl, 1 dwg
