FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: sharp crosspiece for rail crossings comprises a zone of wheel rollover 1 from a guard rail to a core arranged in a common cast 5, two pads 6 and 7 and fastening bolts 11. Pads rest against a metal bridge 8 and press the cast 5 with their middle sections. The fastening bolts are designed to join pads 6 and 7 with each other and to join the crosspiece itself with adjacent travel rails. The cast 5 is arranged as symmetrical relative to the horizontal plane passing via its centre of gravity 16. Surfaces of mutual contact of the cast 5 with pads 6 and 7 are arranged in the form of wedged joints 18, 19, tightened by fastening bolts 11 so that there is a gap between the metal bridge 8 and the cast 5, which prevents against their interaction.

EFFECT: higher operation life of a structure.
