FIELD: nuclear power engineering; storage and transport of spent nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: can has case with suspension system and filter. The latter is made in the form of flexible jacket whose shape follows that of can and is provided with locking unit. Several alternatives are proposed for arrangement jacket inside can: jacket may be placed inside can case; the latter may be placed inside jacket. Locking unit of jacket has thimbles formed in its inlet section. Following design versions of jacket are proposed: multilayer jacket one of whose layers is made of metal net; jacket with one of its layers made of radiation-absorbing material; part of flexible jacket is made of filter material. In addition, can case may be made in the form of water-tight perforated or skeleton structure. Proposed design ensures more effective decontamination of water inside can and reduced corrosion rate. EFFECT: enlarged guarantee storage time of spent fuel, facilitated delivery, storage, and extraction of filter element. 9 cl, 5 dwg
