FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to utilization of waste of synthetic ethyl alcohol production, namely, to isolation of diethyl ether from etheroaldehyde fraction. Etheroaldehyde fraction is treated with hydrogen peroxide taken in the equimolar amount or small excess to acetaldehyde content in etheroaldehyde fraction followed by isolation of diethyl ether by rectification. Method provides producing diethyl ether with content of main substance 99.5%, not less, that can be used in chemical industry and medicine. EFFECT: improved method of isolation, increased yield. 3 cl, 3 ex
