APPARATUS FOR TRAINING NECK MUSCLES AND CORRECTING HEAD POSITION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine and sports. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has annular member for embracing user's head, elongate plank with sensitive member and sensor for detecting deviation of head from predetermined position. Annular member has transverse plank. Plate positioned at elongate and transverse planks intersection point is adapted for carrying mentioned sensor, which is connected to electronic signaling circuit, which, in its turn, is connected to sound and light signal generating devices. Sound signal generating device is positioned on plate and light signal generating devices are positioned beyond plate on two bars fixed on annular member. The latter is made in the form of tape with elastic insert and fastener. Lower part of plate is provided with resilient rest for absorbing pressure applied by this part to user's head. Plate is further provided with independent power source and is closed from the top by decorative casing. Apparatus is used for activating functions of vertebral column neck portion and for development of related muscles adapted for correction of head and vertebral column position. EFFECT: increased efficiency by intensified response to declination of head from predetermined position and simplified construction. 3 cl, 2 dwg
