FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring temperature difference between thyroid gland projection zones on the right and left side and Di- he point on the chin. The difference being greater than 1.2 C, thyroid gland pathology is to be diagnosed. The device has three temperature pickups, comparator unit, analog-to-digital converter of voltage difference, digital indicator unit, unit for sending signals. The pickups are cylindrical disks movably mounted in non-metal conducting casings having ears to enable movements along horizontal axial line of common substratum. The substratum surface is multilayer, flexible and perforated and has sticking fastener as fastening member. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis. 4 cl, 3 dwg
