FIELD: manufacture of diffusion-scattering components, screens and light filters, more particularly manufacture of UV reflecting filters in systems of pumping solid body lasers. SUBSTANCE: glass comprises amorphous silicon dioxide with cerium oxyfluoride crystals distributed therein in amount from 0.31 to 0.85 wt %. Diameter of cerium crystals is 40-80 mm in amount of (4÷7)•10⁷ pc/cubic cm. EFFECT: absorption of ultraviolet radiation ranging from less than 360 mm at high transparency in visible spectral region. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
