PLANT FOR PROCESSING MELT SLAG OF BLAST FURNACE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: production of building materials directly near blast furnace and outside of blast furnace shop. SUBSTANCE: plant includes forehearth with burners mounted with possibility of motion, apparatus for making solid slag, heat exchanger with convective heating surfaces, air heater connected successively with aeration chamber by means of pipeline; comb rigidly joined with burners of forehearth and aeration chamber. The last is provided with diffuser and narrowed nozzle. Diffuser is connected with pipeline of air heater; narrowed nozzle is rigidly joined by means of air conduit of comb with burners of forehearth. There are helical grooves on inner surfaces of diffuser and narrowed nozzle; said grooves are arranged longitudinally from inlet opening until outlet opening of diffuser and narrowed nozzle. Annular groove connected with longitudinal helical grooves is arranged near large opening of narrowed nozzle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of plant operation. 3 dwg
