FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: method is related to search for fields of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons, caustobioliths and other liquid and gaseous nonmetallic and ore gas- carrying minerals, to detection of tectonic dislocations and zones of increased jointing of rocks. Space and aerial photography of examined territory with water basins is conducted. Then seismic field is formed in rocks by action on upper layers of the ground with acoustic and ultrasonic waves. With this in mind mechanical vibrations are excited in casing strings of boreholes located in examined territory. After corresponding seismic processing of surface layers of ground space and aerial photography of examined territory is conducted again. Photographs are compared and photographic background of water basins in examined territory is used to forecast presence of oil and gas deposits in entrails of the earth. EFFECT: increased authenticity of photographic operations and outcome of gas survey. 2 dwg
