FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; treatment of liquid steel in steel-teeming ladle. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tapping moltens metal from furnace at definite temperature for particular grade of steel into steel-steel-teeming ladle. Finished steel is held in steel-teeming ladle for 40 - 80 min before beginning of teeming. During tapping, slag is thickened during entire period of escaping of slag from furnace. Temperature of steel in intermediate ladle is reduced by 20 C. EFFECT: increased productivity of furnace; reduced power requirements; reduced rejects; enhanced resistance of refractory lining of steel-teeming ladle. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
